How do we narrow the gap with the Pupil Premium?

Pupil Premium

The Government believes that the Pupil Premium, which is additional to main school funding, is the best way to address the current underlying inequalities between children eligible for free school meals (FSM) and their wealthier peers by ensuring that funding to tackle disadvantage reaches the pupils who need it most. There is more information about the Government’s Pupil Premium scheme on the Department for Education website. Each school publishes a statement to report on how much money they received, how they spent it and how effective it has been. Download our Pupil Premium Report for 2015/2016 here.

Sports and PE Premium

We are very proud of our sporting tradition here at St Saviour’s and once again we are delighted to report that 99% of our KS2 pupils represented the school in Tower Hamlets and London wide events this academic year (2016/7). Once again, all pupils who took part received medals as recognition of their participation. Our children demonstrated great sportsmanship, courage, perseverance and humility, in all they did and were always trying that little bit extra to achieve their very best. We enjoyed representation at the London Youth Games in football, hockey and cross-country running and at a borough level are pleased to be: Year 5 Girls’ cross-country champions; Year 4 tag-rugby champions; and Year 5/6 indoor and outdoor hockey champions. We look forward to attempting to continue this success next year.
