How talented are our children?

Developing our children’s talents

We put on musical productions every year which always draw huge crowds.  We offer violin lessons and guitar lessons and have a choir which is in regular demand at functions in the community every Christmas.

We have recently installed an art gallery in the main school corridor.

Members of our school choir sung a range of show tunes at the Variety Annual Fundraising Ball at The Dorchester Hotel in Mayfair this Autumn.  They met stars from stage and screen as well as the speaker from the House of Commons. Apart from looking glamorous (the parents especially ,click here for the pictures ) they had fun and were stunningly successful in having a minibus promised to the school. St. Saviour’s certainly has talent!

This year we have created an art gallery space in order to showcase pupil’s talents. This begun when an artist came to work with all our pupils to make our Value Banners that hung in our school hall. We loved this creativity so The Gallery now houses a “how we see things” or as one year 6 child put it more eloquently “perspective is personal and distance is important” We also have some of our exceptional home learning projects that demonstrate how homework comes alive with magical imagination and perseverance! Click here to see the world through the children’s eyes. We have through our talented Mr Ward once again taken photographs of pupils with what they would like to be when they grow up “ a glimpse in to our future” is permanently displayed in the hall. Eager to promote this aspect of the pupils learning we are working with an artist, Tim Davies, to bring our stories and characters to life… watch this space for more. For our art gallery click here…
